(3-5 yrs) Frequently Asked Questions What does the camp fee include? Depending upon which camp the child is registered for; the camp fee includes group tennis instruction, group swim instruction, open swim, organized games and crafts, in-house field trips (for an additional fee for Munchkins or ˝-day campers) and lunch with beverage and snacks. (Munchkin and ˝-day campers do not eat lunch unless registered for Lunch Bunch.) What should my child bring to camp? Children must wear gym shoes, bring a swimsuit, sunscreen, and if possible, a tennis racquet. (We have a limited number of demo racquets.) Do you accommodate special needs/food requests, etc? We will make every attempt to accommodate all special needs. Please call to discuss any special needs. Can a non-member participate in the camp? We welcome non-members to participate in the camp. However, we have reserved a limited number of spaces for non-member campers and members have priority registration through March 15, 2008. What is the Five Seasons refund policy? Only with a physician’s form relative to injury incurred or medical condition, or under special circumstances, approved by the Camp Director. All registrations are subject to a non-refundable registration fee of $50.00. No refunds will be issued once camp has begun. What other forms are required other than the Camper Registration Form? Once the camper is accepted into the camp, he/she will be mailed an information packet, which includes a photo release form, emergency contact information, medical information, and a disclaimer. The camper will also receive confirmation of the camp sessions he/she registered for and any fees still due to Five Seasons as well as drop off/pick up information. What are “in-house” field trips? Five Seasons is pleased to offer field trips, which are held here at the club. Last year, we welcomed a tie-dye program, magician, and stuffed animal workshop to the camp. The children do not go off premises – we bring the field trip to the club! An additional minimal fee may be applied for in-house field trips. What is the camp schedule? Your child will follow a schedule depending upon which camp the child is registered for. Based on the camper’s attendance, some activities may not be available. The camp offers a rotation of swim instruction, tennis instruction, and other activities. Counselors have the flexibility to change some of the activities based on camper interest and attendance. Five Seasons Tennis Camp has priority over indoor courts; therefore, tennis may not be available on rainy days. Who are the counselors? We are pleased that most of our counselors are returning employees who are experienced with both the club’s program and working with children. We also require that all counselors ENJOY working with children. A large percentage of the counselors are college students who have camp experience or high school students who have experience working with children. Each counselor attends a summer camp training workshop prior to the start of camp. I have heard about a “lunch bunch” program for half-day Munchkin campers – what is this all about? Some parents’ schedules conflict with the camp schedule. For an additional fee, Munchkins can register for the “Lunch Bunch” option (11:45 am – 1:00 pm). This information is available at the club or call directly 847/897-5031 or admin@fiveaseasonsnb.com. Does my camper need to be potty trained? All campers must be potty trained. Will my child have tennis and swim instruction every day? It depends on what camp your child is registered for. Not all children will have swim and tennis instruction each day of camp. Activities rotate throughout the day and throughout the week. Rain Days: Five Seasons Tennis Camp has priority over indoor courts; therefore, tennis may not be available on rainy days. Swim lessons are outdoors; swim lessons may not always be available. Do you honor friendship requests? We make every attempt to honor friendship requests. However, in order to adhere to the camper/counselor ratio, not all requests may be honored. Please indicate friendship requests on the registration form. Do you pro-rate for the week of 4th of July? Summer camp does not meet on the 4th of July; therefore, the week is pro-rated. When will I have confirmation that my child is enrolled in the camp? If we receive your camper registration form prior to the priority deadline and space is available, we will confirm enrollment by postcard, email, or telephone. Please feel free to contact Laura Kaufman at any time at 847/897-5031or admin@fiveseasonsnb.com to confirm enrollment. Complete registration packets will not be mailed out until mid-May. What is the drop-off/pick-up procedure? To avoid congestion in the driveway, please park your car in the east parking lot and walk your child through the outside gate to the Camp Tent (located outside near the outdoor pool area). Counselors will greet campers and ask you to sign-in your child. Counselors will bring children to the Camp Tent for pick-up, where you will sign-out your child. Please call to make arrangements for special circumstances. Children who attend Lunch Bunch are to be picked up at the Camp Tent. Can I make a change to my child’s registration?
